Summer Season

Monsoon Season

During the Monsoon season, the islands get heavy but sporadic rainfall with heavy winds and overcast conditions which makes the climate moderate. It starts in July and lasts till September. During this time, the temperatures range from 22 to 35 degrees Celsius. The bounteous crops growing due to the heavy rainfall makes all the local inhabitants delighted, and they celebrate the festival season and welcome the tourists wholeheartedly. The tropical paradise in Bay of Bengal experience monsoon season in two stages: May to mid-September and November to mid-December.

During the months of November to December, the chain of islands observe north-easterly wind; and between May to October, the islands get south-westerly wind. From January to April that Andaman and The Nicobar Islands experience tranquil weather devoid of rainfall and
winds.

Due to the capricious climate and weather conditions, it is suggested that planning a holiday during this time is not a good idea. Besides you cannot participate in activities like scuba diving, sea walking, Snorkeling, glass bottom rides, banana boat rides, etc because of rainfall. You cannot take selfies or photographs due to bad weather. The overcast conditions also make sightseeing difficult.

Winter Season
